As we all know, there is still a threat from COVID-19 and that means we’ve had to make some changes so that we can keep you and our team safe when visiting.
We’re introducing an advance booking system to help manage visitor numbers and maintain safe, social distancing. Members can book for free, while non-members will need to pay when booking. Tickets are released roughly one month in advance.
If you do not pre-book we cannot guarantee entry to the exhibition; you can, however, visit the battlefield at any time. Please note face coverings are mandatory inside the visitor centre.
There is a car parking charge – everything you spend onsite goes towards conserving Scotland’s heritage.
Culloden Battlefield Visitor Centre will be open daily from 10am–4pm.
We’re looking forward to welcoming you back!
National Trust for Scotland and National Trust Members
Member entry to the exhibition will be free, but we ask that you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
Each individual member will require a ticket so please ensure you purchase the correct quantity of tickets to cover those visiting. (eg Family Members with 2 adults and 2 children will require 4 member tickets)
You’ll also need to show your valid membership card on arrival.
Please purchase the required ticket type. You will be asked for proof of purchase upon arrival at the visitor centre.

Please do not visit if you or a member of your household has had any symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
General safety advice
Once at the property, please look out for signage and follow any directions given by our team. Your ticket will allow you to spend 60 minutes in the exhibition. This is to ensure everyone has a great experience while maintaining social distancing. We encourage you to use contactless payment when onsite.
We’re delighted to offer you a small selection of takeaway refreshments and the Culloden shop will be open.
The sense of place is something we want to protect and preserve, so you won’t necessarily find any signage beyond the car parks – please take care and make sure you keep a distance of at least 2 metres from anyone else you happen to meet while enjoying the landscape.
We hope you enjoy your visit!
