Guitarist Kieran McCrossan and flautist Lynn Fraser, both originally from Fife, are Bruadar Duo.
Kieran is currently a music student in Edinburgh, studying guitar with Simon Thacker. Lynn is a music teacher and freelance musician, based in North Lanarkshire. Together they’re following their dream of performing some of the world’s most beautiful music in some of Scotland’s most beautiful settings for audiences of all ages.
For the 2019–20 season the Bruadar Duo repertoire has a Spanish, Argentinian and French theme. The duo will perform pieces such as the exciting and evocative ‘Histoire du Tango’ by Astor Piazolla; the beautiful, enchanting ‘Pavane’ by Gabriel Faure; and the exhilarating ‘Entracte’ by Jacques Ibert. Kieran will perform solo guitar music from Spain, which will include the mesmerising ‘Capricho Catalan’ by Isaac Albéniz.
Lynn will perform solo flute music from France which will include Claude Debussy’s ‘Syrinx’, perhaps the most well known unaccompanied French flute piece.
